Jersey is the most southerly part of the British Isles and situated nearer to France than England. Cared for by the States of Jersey, the Island's Government, Jersey was the first tourism destination in the world to gain the Green Globe destination status for its environmental conservation. A natural year-round holiday choice, it is ideal for short or longer stays perhaps using the island as a jumping off point for visits to the other Channel Islands and France.
