Photo 50 - Lake District

Ullswater is a large lake and over the years has done much to enhance the scenic reputation of the Lake District. This view from the western shore looking north provides ample reasons for visiting this area. Surrounded by high fells, especially at the southern end, this view includes the steep flanks of Place Fell on the right of the frame.
