Book Review - The Cairngorms

The second in this series to be reviewed.

It is one of the few books that I have literally read from cover to cover. 40 walks covering "one of the most dramatic mountain landscapes in Europe" might seem hard to justify. However a few pages into this massively inspirational pocket sized book and you immediately want to get on your way to the start of your chosen walk. Only a few of the routes can be graded easy and for many you do need to be fit and able to cope with the hazards you might meet en-route.

The price is excellent - less than a couple of pints - what you would probably save by walking instead of going to the pub! Don't worry if the walks are too hard - just sit back and iamgine you are there ....

'Pocket Mountains' - the first three in a series of six have been published - the other three are due Spring 2004. Priced at £5.99 each - Guidepost price £5.39 - they offer excellent value for money.
