Gear Review - Fit Flops
Wearing Fit Flops to improve your walking stamina
Now this might be a strange concept, but with a new sandal on the market, it’s actually possible to improve your training regime for long walks by simply wearing a different kind of sandal. The makers of Fit Flops (available to buy online here) boast that their sandals are fat burners, and help you keep in shape just by using them to walk in. But how does that help the average walker I hear you ask?
Well…If you can stick to wearing these special shoes, for everyday use, you can work out many of the muscles that you will help you walk for longer, and further when it’s time for a real expedition. I’m not saying that you should use these shoes for walking on the hills, but it could be beneficial for you to train in a pair, making sure you are properly prepared for whatever the hills have to throw at you.
The makers claim that there are many reasons that you should be wearing a pair:
- Fit Flops incorporate a patent-pending micro-wobbleboard technology, that gives your leg muscles a work out while you walk
- You challenge the harder to reach muscles
- With every step, you can trim and tone your legs
- Work you bum. These shoes work you bum muscles harder
- They tone your thigh muscles
- It’s like walking barefoot, but better
- They make it easier to stay in shape
We reviewed the Walkstar, and out of 4 of us, 3 agreed that they helped. Certainly for under £40 they are worth a try!
