Gear Review - Caterpillar Colorado

I needed a good, solid pair of boots for long walks and Caterpillar boots have the reputation for being rugged and hard wearing, which makes them ideal for working on building sites and long treks. In fact, they were recommended to me by quite a large number of friends who are construction workers and truck drivers.

The classic Caterpillar Colorado style caught my eye and I was able to find them online for a good price. Having worn them for a solid month, I have found them to be a fantastic pair of boots that are very tough, comfortable to wear and look very trendy as well. They are very comfortable and cosy to wear, but your feet never feel hot or sweaty. The sizing is also excellent, giving you plenty of room to wiggle your toes without your heel slipping. A very nice feature is how the laces can be unhinged, which makes them so much easier to take off after a long trudge.

Whether you’re out walking the dog, going for a cross country ramble or need a good pair of work boots, a pair of Caterpillar Colorado boots are ideal, giving you a solid defence against the elements so your feet won’t get wet, while providing a firm footing on muddy banks and other uneven terrain. The T3 outsole offers excellent grip on all types of surfaces from pavements to rocks, mud and even ice, slush and snow. And they are also very easy to scrub clean with a brush, or leave to dry, then bang together to get all the mud off.

Compared to many of the other brands, Cats offer real value for money (especially if you find them for a good price online) and you certainly get more than you paid for with a great fit, strong tread, good grip and excellent quality. I highly recommend them and with their Goodyear welt, you know that they are built to last.
