Walking Britain has been listed as one of 101 Useful Sites by the Independent newspaper.

It was very pleasing to see Walking Britain listed amongst the 101 Useful Web Sites by the Independent on Monday 11th June 2007. Amongst others listed were migraine.org.uk, bookfinder, gosmokefree and siteadvisor. The latter site is great as it lists all the spyware sites and other nasties on the web.

The sub headline on the article was the "net's not just about eBay and MySpace" and I was particularly pleased with WB's inclusion as I think many of you already know, I have strong feelings about the Net being more than a machine for printing vast amounts of money for a small number of people. The Net to me is about providing information, helping people and a general force for good - and the article was some recognition of this view.
