Favourite Walks

Date - 18 Jan 2008

The result of the first month’s competition has been announced. It covers all the walks submitted up to the end of December 2007 from the start of the competition in mid-November.

The winner is Peter Lane who has been a regular contributor to Walking Britain in recent years. His walk featured a circuit from the Lickey Hills on the southern outskirts of Birmingham. The route, walk 1501, features plenty of interest and it was on this basis that it was selected. The prize is the recent Cicerone publication “The National Trails”, which was reviewed a month or so ago.

Congratulations to Peter and I hope this provides some momentum for you to enter your favourite walk too. Click for entry details
