August 2010 saw the highest traffic through this web site ever recorded in a month. Visitors viewed nearly a million pages during August with the traffic concentrating on the many walk descriptions.

Traffic through the Walking Britain website has seen some remarkable fluctuations this year with the site very quiet during the World Cup in South Africa until the England team came home! Then traffic returned to normal.

Interesting fact 2 from recent months is the lunchtime spike in traffic presumably from all those sitting behind a desk at work and browsing the internet while they having their lunch. The other noticeable increase in traffic is at round 8 pm each evening. This is most notable on Friday evenings when people are presumably planning their weekend walking

Interesting fact 3 is that overseas traffic comes from a very wide spread of places including most European countries, the USA and Canada, plus of course Australia and New Zeland. Rather more surprising are visitors from Pakistan, Zaire and Botswana amongst many others.
