Website 006 - This picture of Stac Pollaidh provides a perfect image to introduce walkscotland.com, which was launched in to the Worldwide Web in September 1999 as a free online magazine for everyone who loves walking, backpacking, climbing and mountaineering in Scotland. The site now has over 50 walk routes with a new one added each week and was described as ``the best source of free walking itineraries'' by The Guardian. Each route includes a map, photos and step by step guide. There is also an ever expanding section devoted to the Munros and Corbetts, plus longer backpacking routes, new gear test features every month, a regularly updated news page and over 80 links.
