This view from the summit of Pike o' Blisco - from the left the
prominent summit is Harter Fell with Eskdale immediately to its right. The next
prominent 'top' is Cold Pike with its knobbly summit. Behind that on the horizon
is Little Stand. Below, the well-worn path from Red Tarn leading up to cross the
ravine containing Browney Gill and up to the Crinkle Crags can be clearly seen.
All the crinkles of the Crinkle Crags can be made out with Bowfell the next and
highest peak in the panorama. The Band, a popular route of ascent leads clearly
to Bowfell with the valley of Mickleden behind it. Then come the Langdale Pikes
partly obscured by the shadow of a cloud with Langdale immediately in front of
them. What a view!
