The ridge road on Morridge Edge runs from the A53 (Leek to Buxton
Road) at School House to the B5053 (Ipstones to Onecote road) near Bottom House.
For much of its length it forms the boundary of the Peak District National Park
and is around 1500 feet (450 metres) above sea level. The views are excellent
ranging from the Wrekin in Shropshire in the south to the Kinder Scout Plateau
in the north. Also included are Chrome Hill, The Roaches and Hen Cloud.
This panorama photo taken on 2nd January 2002 hardly does the view justice but
if you are in the area a drive along this road is a must.
