This path right of centre of the frame leads to the well known landmark of Lover's Leap in the southern reaches of Dovedale (Peak District National Park). Away to the left of the frame is the prominent summit of Thorpe Cloud whilst to the right the wooded western slopes of Dovedale contrast with the grassy slopes on the eastern side.
