After the steep ascent from Minffordd you are rewarded with a superb panorama of mountain scenery, which rank as one of the finest in Britain. Working right to left, the slopes of Mynydd Moel form a buttress to the summit of Cadair Idris with the pointed summit of Craig Cwm Amarch  completing the arc. As yet unseen is dramatically located Llyn Cau.
