To the left is the stepped outline of Ingleborough. Centre foreground is Souther Scales Farm which gives its name to the extensive limestone pavement on the western side of Ingleborough. Across the valley to the right is Scales Moor another extensive limestone pavement which terminates in the impressive Twistleton Scars. Exiting the frame to the right is Whernside's south ridge.
