Panorama 140 - The Forest of Bowland

The Forest of Bowland occupied the northern part of Lancashire and consists of some wild rough moorland with fertile farming country around the periphery. This view was taken from Waddington fell, just off the road from Clitheroe to Newton. In the distance can be seen the high moors located to the east of the Trough of Bowland.
