Panorama 179 - Striding Edge

Striding Edge is a well known route of ascent from Glenridding to the summit of Helvellyn. This view was taken from the col between Helvellyn (to the left) and Nethermost Pike (to the right) and gives a good impression of the steep slope that drops into Nethermost Cove. The highest point of Striding Edge is High-Spying-How. The large fell in shadow is Place Fell whilst on the horizon can be seen the fells of Pennines.
