This view makes the effort worthwhile ... Taken from the northern end of Helvellyn's summit area this view includes many interesting details. Helvellyn Lower Man is the first summit down the path with Whiteside, Raise and the Dodds all lined up along the main ridge. On the far right of the frame is Catstye Cam linked to Helevellyn by Swirral Edge, which is just visible with Ullswater behind and the Pennines in the far distance. Above Whiteside is Blencathra with Skiddaw to its left with Lake Bassenthwaite clearly visible. On the skline to the left are the fells of the Grasmoor/Grisdale Pike massif.
