Great Gable always grabs your attention. This view taken after snow on the climb from Styhead to Esk Hause provides an excellent place to take in the scenery. Great Gable is joined to its neighbour Green Gable which suffers from the proximity of its higher sister. The dark icy waters of Styhead Tarn add contrast to the bright sunshine in Wasdale.
