On a clear day, Pendle Hill in Lancashire is one of the finest
viewpoints in Britain. Rising steeply from the surrounding countryside the edges
of its summit plateau offer excellent views. Taken on the northwestern side this
view looks north to the Ribble Valley and the Yorkshire Dales. Those with perfect
eyesight will be able to pick out Yorkshire's 'Big Three', which are well separated
from this angle.
