The panorama was taken early morning from the beach at Shell Island (a great base for the Rhinogs). Viewing from left to right, the Rivals and the northern end of the Lleyn peninsula lead to the Nantlle Ridge and Moel Hebog bathed in sunlight. Beyond this Snowdon is capped with cloud, and the flanks of the Glyders are just about discernable. Far right is Harlech castle with the Moelwyns providing a dramatic backdrop. Photo Ian Nadin.
