Situated only a few minutes walk from the A5 at Ogwen Cottage a few miles south of Bethesda, Llyn Idwal lies beneath the north-eastern flanks of the Glyders. The path out of this cwm climbs right to left across an obvious ledge (just to the right of the obvious waterfall feeding into the llyn) with Devil's Kitchen immediately to the right of the path.
