The previous day the cloud obscured the summit but early on a gorgeous Spring day Causey Pike can be seen in all its glory. The various routes of ascent can be clearly seen. Worth the extra effort, the best way up is over Rowling End, the prominent lump to the left of the Pike. Nearer the summit there is a short scramble.
