Situated above a scenic viewpoint at the edge of Harlech village, Maelgwyn House commands stunning views of the Llyn Peninsula and Tremadog Bay, the Dwyryd estuary, Morfa Harlech, a National Nature Reserve, Harlech Castle and the Royal St David's golf course.

We offer a choice of king size rooms. All rooms are en-suite and have colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. All of our rooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard. The two rooms at the front of the house offer spectacular views across Tremadog Bay. The other rooms have views across the garden and to the surrounding hills.

The breakfast choices include a full Welsh breakfast with locally sourced ingredients, fruit, porridge and cereals and a selection of breads with homemade jams and marmalades. If you have any particular dietary requirements then Bridget and Derek will do their best to meet them.

Maelgwyn House is ideally situated for exploring Snowdonia National Park, the Rhinog Mountains and the Lleyn Peninsula, Porthmadog and Portmeirion.

The Snowdonia National Park contains the highest mountains in Wales. Naturally the scenery is spectacular and even on many low level walks provides a wonderful backdrop to the ever-changing countryside. Harlech is well located and offers and excellent base from which to exploer almost all of the National Park. As can be expected in such a diverse landscape, there are walks to suit all abilities from hard and often challenging mountain routes to gentler routes in the valleys and along the cost.
