Photo Competition COMPETITION NOW CLOSED First Prize – Digital SLR (value £400 approx)
Format – images may be colour or black and white. The images can be on digital media or conventional photos. Please note that digital images should not be modified using additional software such as Photoshop. Prints (colour and black & white) must be no larger than 10 inches by 8 inches. How to submit your images – Each image must be accompanied by the photographer’s name, address, email address, and contact phone number. In addition you must provide a caption that provides details of where the image was taken. Digital images may be forwarded as attachments to emails or sent by post on CD. Normal photos should be sent by post. Please note that no material will be returned unless suitable packaging and postage is provided. Email address – Postal address – PO Box 2805, Stafford, ST16 9ES Usage of Images – Walking Britain retains the right to use all images submitted to the competition as it seems fit. The copyright will remain with the photographer. Many images will be posted in a competition gallery and these may be retained for some time into the future. Judging – Please note changes in this part of the competition that are due to changing work commitments and my unavialbility for the dates originally planned. A selection of images received will be added to the site before the end of October 2007. Selection of the winning image will be made by the Editor (judge, jury and executioner!) before 30th November 2007 with the winner notified by the most appropriate method. Formal announcement on the website will be made shortly after this date. Deadline for submission – 6 p.m ( UK time) on 30th September 2007. Helpful Hints – Please remember not to write directly on the back of conventional photos as this may damage the image. It is much better to write on sticky labels and apply these after writing the text. Do not submit out-of-focus or poorly exposed images. |
