Riverside Lodge is a property of immense charm and character comprising three adjoining self catering holiday cottages for rent in Ambleside. Illustrated in the picture above, they are delightfully situated in a unique and idyllic riverside setting on the bank of the River Rothay just 500 yards from the centre of Ambleside and Lake Windermere. At the heart of the Lake District in Cumbria.

Delightfully situated in a unique and idyllic riverside setting on the bank of the River Rothay just 500 yards from the centre of Ambleside and Lake Windermere.

The three holiday cottages are furnished and equipped to 4 star requirement providing quality Self Catering Accommodation. "The Lodge"on the left of the above picture has two en-suite bedrooms to sleep 4 persons. "Middlebeck"in the centre and "Overbeck"on the right, each have one spacious en-suite bedroom to sleep 2 persons only. They are all maintained to a standard which will appeal to the discerning. Ample parking is available in our private car-park. We are unable to accept children under 10 or pets.

Walking in the area

As one would expect the location of Riverside Lodge offers easy access to some of the greatest walking in Britain. A central location within the Lake District National Park ensures that a wide variety of walks from easy strolls to high mountain adventures are close at hand. For many walks there is no need to travel far. Indeed you can walk from the door and tackle some of the the many fells in the immediate vicinity or enjoy strolls along the shores of Lake Windermere.

Slightly further afield and you can be on the summit of Helvellyn, England's third highest peak. Travel a bit further and Scafell Pike, England's highest can be ascended in a day. In between there is so much walking that you could easily stay for a month from the delights of Langdale, the Consiton Fells, the hills around Grasmere plus much, much more!
