"Self Catering - Open all year – Short Breaks welcome during winter months" This attractive rural barn conversion, with magnificent views over wooded rolling hillsides and a patchwork of well tended fields dotted with small manor houses is a short drive from Bala Lake. Offering a perfect base for exploring the Snowdonia National Park, the barn's location means that a wide range of other areas can also easily be reached for exploration on foot.
Set on a hillside above the River Dee in the beautiful Vale of Ederynion, the eastern gateway to The Snowdonia National Park, this little cottage, modestly but comfortably furnished, has been converted from an ancient barn and the galleried bedroom is reached via a spiral staircase from the sitting/dining room. An access door opens onto a long front veranda - perfect for relaxing on and enjoying the glorious scenery of this peaceful, quiet valley.
Information for walkers The Barn at Ty’n-y-fron is located a few miles east of Lake Bala with easy access to the southern half of Snowdonia with a wide variety of walks to suit all tastes. Lake Bala offers level strolls whilst the mountains forming the back drop have many miles of paths some of which provide challenging mountain walks close to 3000 feet above level sea level. To the immediate south lie the Berwyn Hills. Less rugged than Snowdonia this landscape is criss-crossed with an extensive network of paths offering a range of scenic routes. Travelling east the Clwydian Hills and the limestone escarpments in the Llangollen area all within reach for a day long excursion.
