This walk uses the Hertfordshire Way to follow the pretty River Ash valley to Wareside and then over the broader uplands to Cold Christmas in the valley of the River Rib, another pleasant Hertfordshire stream. After a short stretch along the Rib, the Harcamlow Way is used to return via the Ash again and over uplands to Widford.
