This is a walk easily accessible from St Albans. It passes through a pleasant rolling agricultural landscape still retaining its human scale and dotted with woods and hedgerows. The end objective is the 1760 Brocket Hall and much of the walk is within the wide spread parish of Sandridge including Coleman Green with its traditional connection to John Bunyan (see www.sandridgevillage.com/history ). There are opportunities for refreshment in Coleman Green and Sandridge.
It is recommended you take a map with you when following a walk route. The preferred scale is 1:25000 used by the Explorer series.
Note : If two maps are listed at the same scale then either (a) both are required for full coverage of the route or (b) the route is covered on both maps.
