The hills of Dumfries and Galloway provide some excellent walking. This walk into the South Uplands of Scotland provdies a short and invigorating walk to the summit of Capel Fell. Do not expect to see many other walkers. Suggested Maps It is recommended you take a map with you when following a walk route. The preferred scale is 1:25000 used by the Explorer series.
