This part of South Wales is noted for its scenic interest combined with rich history. An impressively rugged coastal walk lying within the Pembrokeshire National Park with perhaps the finest seaboard hill in South Wales, Carn Llidi, as the climax. Starting from Whitesands Bay, the walk goes around the rocky and rugged headland, then turns inland over the shoulder and around the base of Carn Llidi, with an option of climbing to the summit for the magnificent view. Although the coastal part of the route is rockier than most, there are no particularly strenuous sections. Suggested Maps It is recommended you take a map with you when following a walk route. The preferred scale is 1:25000 used by the Explorer series.
Note : If two maps are listed at the same scale then either (a) both are required for full coverage of the route or (b) the route is covered on both maps.
