This walk in part covers a section of the Hertfordshire Way, the 170 mile circular route round the county. It is through a quiet rural landscape and historic villages where one can still imagine life in times past. The walking is easy on the uplands of North Hertfordshire with the opportunity for refreshment at about 1/3rd of the way and about half way round – both with a bit of a diversion. Suggested Maps It is recommended you take a map with you when following a walk route. The preferred scale is 1:25000 used by the Explorer series.
Note : If two maps are listed at the same scale then either (a) both are required for full coverage of the route or (b) the route is covered on both maps.
