This Hertfordshire walk, starting from Tring station, can be enjoyed without the need of a car. It starts off along the Grand Union Canal in the Bulbourne valley before climbing up to Northchurch Common, part of the National Trust Ashridge Estate. After that the walk is through typical Chiltern woodland, before descending to the pretty Hertfordshire village of Aldbury. There are opportunities for refreshment at Aldbury and just off the canal at Cow Roast.
