This Derbyshire walk lies just outside the boundaries of the Peak District National Park yet offers a wide variety of terrain and two interesting villages. Starting from Carsington, beside the reservoir, the route climbs to the High Peak Trail and continues to Harboro Rocks. The return is via Brassington, an attractive village in a picturesque setting.
