The descent from Nan Bield Pass, below Harter Fell, to Mardale Head

The descent from Nan Bield Pass, below Harter Fell, to Mardale Head is one of the finest footpaths in this part of the Lake District. This view looking towards High Street includes the beck draining Blea Tarn. Rugged with crags dotted across the mountainside this is wonderful country whatever the weather.
