An example of the art of dry stone walling near Grassington

An example of the art of dry stone walling. On the approach to Grassington there is a complex arrangement of walls all built without mortar. From the professional wall-builder's point of view, says BK Jones, Chaiman Cumbria Branch DSWA, "this wall is far from perfect with numerous running joints and poor coursing".
