From the summit cairn of High Rigg there are excellent views of Blencathra's southern face with its ridges clearly defined. From the summit cairn a short but steep grassy path leads to the Youth Centre and St Johns Church. The route back to the Legburthwaite takes the bridleway just beyond the churchyard."
