The start of the West Wall Traverse is a narrow groove

West Wall Traverse start - The start of the West Wall Traverse is a narrow groove leading up at a gentle angle from a gap in the left wall of Lords Rake. Because of the rock parapet on the left of the path there is initially little exposure, even though we are over 300 feet up from the base of the cliffs.
