Seen here from Fornside, the route from Castle rock comes in from the right above the fell wall until the wood is reached. It then climbs a small gill for a hundred feet and then takes a diagonal "peat track" which crosses Beckthornes Gill and climbs the rib on the skyline to the right of Bram Crag (part of Clough Head)
