The descent from Snowdon to Llanberis is relatively bland. However there is much to be seen. This view shows a Snowdon Mountain Railway train steaming uphill shortly after leaving Clogwyn station and this adds scale to the view. The rocky knoll is Llechog, which despite its relatively small stature offers great views along the Pass of Llanberis. On the mountainside can be seen the scars of Dinorwic Slate Quarry which occupied the western slopes of Elidir Fawr.
