Winifred's Rest is a dream come true. For the longest time now we've wanted to run a B&B but years of work-related travel meant our dream had to be put on hold. Now our lives are more settled we have, at last, found the perfect house in one of the loveliest places in the world. We are delighted to share our home with you.

We accommodate our guests in three bedrooms, a double and a king which have ensuite shower rooms, and a twin room with a private bathroom on the same floor. Comfort is of paramount importance, hence we've provided electric blankets and a fan heater for cold nights. Guests will find a boot tray in the cupboard which comes in handy for outdoor enthusiasts.

Every room is equipped with a tv and a beverage station where guests will find complimentary sachets of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Guests are welcome to use the lounge where we have a 42 inch wall-mounted tv, dvd player and a discerning selection of movies. There’s also a library in the lounge where guests can enjoy a quick fling with a recipe book or traverse foreign climes with our travel collection.

Information for Walkers

Situated in the Conway Valley, Trefriw offers an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of North Wales. To the west lies Snowdonia National Park with the high peaks of the Carneddau just a few minutes away. The Conway Valley, from Bettws-y-Coed down to the sea at Conway offers very different scenery with pleasant maedows backed by hills to the east and west.

With high mountain, river valley, rolling hills and a beatiful stretch of coast at hand it is only natural that the walking is just as varied. This combination is probably why Trefriw is one of the great walking centres of North Wales.

The Carneddau is the largest expanse of high mounatin in England and Wales and offers some exceptional and often demanding walking. At lower levels the walking is pleasant with something to suit everybody.
