Visit Amberton B & B's Web Site

Amberton is set on a wooded hillside in the area of Porlock known as Hawkcombe and both our guest rooms have stunning views over the village to the sea from their private decks. The amenities of the village centre are less than 10 minutes walk along Parsons Street which has many delightful old cottages and is bordered by Hawkcombe Water.

The house is centrally heated and double glazed and there is a sizeable area just inside the front door where guests can hang their coats and leave their wet or muddy boots to dry by the radiator before they venture out again. Over the years we have stayed in many hotels and B&B's and we developed a preference for those which allowed us to come and go as we pleased and not be tied to set times for meals etc and where we could choose to enjoy lazy or active days depending on our mood when we woke up. We have tried to model our guest accommodation at Amberton on these principles and to give our guests complete flexibility to choose what they would prefer to do on any given day. After all you are on holiday!

To give you maximum flexibility we provide a continental style breakfast for you to eat in your room or on your private deck at the time that suits you best. Your breakfast menu options include freshly baked chocolate croissant, danish pastries, butter croissant and rolls, slices of salami and cheese, a variety of cereals including muesli, yoghurts, prunes, grapefruit segments, chilled orange juice, homemade bread to toast, butter and preserves. We can supply rice milk and soya yoghurts if required.
