Photo 55 - Lake District
Despite its modest height (985 ft), Castle Crag in Borrowdale occupies a wonderful position and provides everyone who reaches its summit with a great view. Looking north, Skiddaw rises above Derwentwater with Blencathra visible on the right hand skyline. Below the fine woodland on either side of the River Derwent is a popular place for low level walks.
