Book Review - Walks in Shakespeare Country

Book cover imageWalks in Shakespeare Country is a collection of 24 walks within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s home town.

The walk routes have been created to avoid stiles, livestock and road-walking – making them ideal for families, dog-walkers and those who find climbing stiles awkward. Each walk is illustrated with photos, an indicative map and a description to make navigation easy. Walk lengths are between 3 and 6.5 miles, and feature different aspects of the area.

Walks start from traditional pubs or cosy cafes where walkers are welcome.
This is a lovely way to explore the Warwickshire countryside, and will appeal to both walkers and Shakespeare enthusiasts.

Walks in Shakespeare Country by Lezli Rees is available from online bookstores such as Amazon, and the following local bookshops:  Stratford-upon-Avon Tourist Information, Bridgefoot, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6GW; Kenilworth Books, 12 Talisman Square, Kenilworth, CV8 1JB;  Warwick Books, 24 Market Place, Warwick CV34 4SL: Dukes, 110 High Street, Henley-in-Arden B95 5BS; The Petstop, 61-63 High Street Alcester B49 5AF.
