Harter Fell with a descent to rocky Nan Bield Pass are highlights of this Lake District walk from Mardale Head. Mardale Head is a wonderful location with mountains on three sides of the valley at the head of Haweswater. This walk includes a fairly stiff climb but the rewards are fine views throughout.
