This Lake District walk to the summit of a relatively lowly fell offers some wonderful views. The Beacon is so called because you can see from the Cumbrian Coast in the south and to the Coniston Fells in the north. As a bonus the walk includes a circuit of Beacon Tarn which nestles in the typically rugged Lakeland landscape. A GPS File is available for download (see walk description).
