Route Outline

The moors to the west of Haworth are wild and can be very unforgiving in bad weather. This moody landscape inspired the Bronte sisters in their world famous novels and this walk captures some of the characteristics of this landscape. Starting at Penistone Hill Country Park, this route passes by Lower Laithe Reservoir before continuing onto the moors using lanes, tracks and footpaths. The route includes views of Top Withins and the Bronte Waterfall.
