A different approach to a popular mountain. Bowfell is a classic Lake District walk. This route takes a less obvious and perhaps more interesting way to the summit via the climber's traverse. The return to Great langdale is past Rossett Pike which is often ignored by most walkers. The route does offer some relief to the crowds that flog up Bowfell on the main path. Wainwrights included in this walk are - Bowfell. A GPS File is available for download (see walk description). A route profile is also provided.
Please maintain social distancing - keep at least 2 metres away from other walkers.
