This Lake District walking route takes in the Rydal and Ambleside area of Lakeland. The description has an emphasis on features of local historic and geographic interest. Overall the walk offers gentle gradients but there is one fairly steep pull up onto Loughrigg Fell from the south shore of Grasmere (lake). The route includes two of Lakeland's smaller lakes - Rydal Water and Grasmere. Wainwrights included in this walk are - Loughrigg Fell. A GPS File is available for download (see walk description).
