Caption - Great Stone of Fourstones, near High Bentham. Huge gritstone erratic on the North Yorkshire/Lancashire border. Steps have been carved into the side to allow access on the top, although no records show when this was actually done. It was also thought there were actually four stones at this location, but the other three have disappeared during the mists of time for other uses.
