Edale village & Vale of Edale

Caption - Approaching Edale village the full splendour of the vale of Edale can be appreciated with Lose Hill the dominant peak in the middle distance. this fine summit stands at the eastern end of the Castleton Ridge. In the foreground can be seen a paved section of the Pennine Way - a deceivingly easy start to what can be a very tough route especially on the long sections across the moors and hills of the Pennines.
